If all you want is a 2 channel stereo setup, these components are a great start in the music experience. I've put together recommendations for integrated amplifiers, turntables and speakers to get you started. I've also made some recommendations for components that will work well together to give you a great music experience. While focused on music, many of these components will also work well to provide stereo playback for your TV, movie and sports viewing.
Stereo Bundles
These bundles will give you a great experience. I've included some with turntables and some with just digital sources, but.you certainly can eliminate or substitute other components from the individual recommendations to tailor the experience to your needs.

Wiim Amp Ultra & Elac Debut 3.0 DB63

This is a wonderful bundle for those looking for flexibility and great sound at a very affordable entry point.
The Wiim Amp Ultra gives you 100 watts of class D amplification in a compact chassis. It provides multiple connectivity options, including USB to play music from a thumb drive or computer, an optical input that can be used for an older TV without HDMI Arc output, an HDMI Arc input for TV's that have that option, an ethernet connection and also supports WiFi 6 as well as Blue Tooth 5.3 (though it doesn't support Apple AirPlay). There's also an analog input that can be used for an external turntable that has its own phono preamp or for a CD player. There's also a sub-woofer output. The Wiim Amp Ultra also has room correction software, which is unusual for stereo amplifiers, especially at this price point.
The phone app allows you to control the Wiim remotely, including streaming from Spotify, Amazon Music, TIDAL, Qobuz, iHeartRadio, SoundCloud, as well as music files on a connected NAS drive. It also works with Roon. The 3.5" touch screen is configurable and displays album art and track information.
The Elac Debut 3.0 DB63 speakers (in black, walnut or white) deliver impressive audiophile performance at an accessible price, combining a newly engineered aramid-fiber woofer with a custom aluminum dome tweeter for exceptional clarity, detail, and balance. Designed for both music and home theater applications, the Debut 3.0 series offers accurate sound reproduction, controlled bass, and a wide, natural soundstage in a refined, modern cabinet.

Marantz M-CR612, Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-5000F II & TEAC TN-280BT-A3

Spending a bit more gets you some additional options.
The Marantz M-CR612 includes a built in CD player and allows you to stream Music through the HEOS app, which is a great system for streaming music throughout your home with other HEOS-enabled speakers or systems. There's also a dedicated subwoofer output if you want to incorporate one for lower bass. While it doesn't have an HDMI-Arc input, it does have Optical inputs that can be used for your TV's output.
The Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-5000F II floor standing speakers are a great alternative to bookshelf speakers and provide a greater frequency range (down to 35 Hz). The RP-5000F offers immediate and forward sound with incredible clarity in the midrange and brilliant treble. Vocals pop clearly, and the bass is tight and punchy for a speaker of its size.
If you have vinyl records to listen to, the TEAC TN-280BT-A3 is a great choice for a system like this. With its built-in phono preamp and blue tooth capability you can start listening right away. And since the built in phono preamp is defeatable, you can upgrade with an external phono preamp when you're ready to go to the next level.

Marantz Stereo 70s, KEF Q3 Meta, KEF Kube 8 MIE, Pro-Ject Debut Carbon EVO and Sony UBP-X700U

This is a great, all around system that will give you a great experience for music and movies.
Anchoring this system is the Marantz Stereo 70s integrated amp/receiver. While it's a stereo product, it includes 6 HDMI 2.1 inputs, 3 of which support 8K video for future needs. If you only want stereo reproduction for your movie watching this is a great option which also prioritizes music. It also includes an onboard phono preamp and subwoofer output. Like the Marantz M-612CR it also incorporates the HEOS streaming system.
The KEF Q3 Meta bookshelf speakers are noted for their exceptional midrange clarity, smooth vocal presentation, and a wide horizontal dispersion pattern. Supplementing them with the KEF Kube 8 MEI subwoofer will give you the bass depth you normally can't achieve with bookshelf speakers alone.
The Pro-Ject Debut Carbon EVO turntable is widely considered one of the best entry-to-mid-level turntables available today and includes an electronic speed control to switch between 33 1/3 and 45 RPM (most entry level turntables require you to move the turntable belt to change the speed).
Rounding this system out is the Sony UBP-X700U universal disk player. In addition to 4K blue ray disks, you can also use it to play back CD's and SACD's.
